Creating text shadows in MS Word

Creating Text Shadows is very simple in MS Word. For a beginner it seems to be a big pc problem but it is very easy. The application of shadows to text with a nice color, font size with a good font makes the text very professional. To experiment with text shadow options, follow the steps given bellow.. Type some sample text like "Word Shadows looks great."

Go to Format menu, Open Font dialog box(You can press Ctrl+D as a short cut), Set the Font size to 36, Font to Times New Roman and Color to Red.

To turn on the shadows, in the same Font dialog box, Turn ON Shadow check box. This apply's shadow effect to the selected text. You can uncheck the box to remove applied shadow's too. Now click OK button to close Font dialog box.

Now, you can see the applied shadow with size, color etc. on your MS Word work area.

You can also use Word Art facility from MS Word to have better shadow options with stylish text. Google
